The trailblazer for aerodynamic automobiles, the Bergholt Streamline, is now on display at the Ellingson Car Museum. Here are some interesting facts about the car.
Designed and built under the direction of Fred Bergholt.
The body of the Bergholt Streamline was inspired by two forms in nature, the turtle and the hammerhead shark.
Built on the frame of a 1932 Ford V-8 sedan, the car was completed in 1932.
The car was introduced to several auto companies but was said to be too far ahead of its time.
In 1993, a complete restoration was begun. After a ten year restoration period the car is now in better condition than it was when it was built.
